Cari's CS life began on 15 July 2005, two weeks before her first major traveling adventure around Europe. An instant CS Chat addict, she attended the first CS Gathering in Montreal in October 2005. She became an Ambassador in the same month and began to host regularly.
In June 2006, the lure of the first CS Collective was all too much, so she took July off and went. A matter of days before boarding the plane, that crash happened. Undeterred, she marched on to Montreal and worked on all things bug-like, answered a MASSIVE amount of CUQ's and co-ordinated the initial set-up for the Member Services team. She became one of the Global Ambassadors and did a fair whack of the Administration (spreadsheets and Wiki updating) for the New Ambassador roll-out scheme.
Towards the end of 2006, Cari helped the UK team of volunteers with the planning and coordination of CouchSurfing's greatest gathering: London Calling which took place in May 2007. Unfortuately, due to work and university commitments, Cari took a year off from CS to focus on her studies and finished her BA Hons degree in Music with an excellent 2:1!
Cari lives at her home in Southampton, England with her partner Tom and their dog Spike. She also has OCD when it comes to grammar, spelling, punctuation and presentation. She is now back on CS and back on the CUQ team. So watch out world the Re-Amb Returns
