What if people write the generic stuff on wikitravel and contribute there and write the CS focused things here on the CS wiki? The general information like HindiSongs might interest lots of people on wikitravel as well and if we write more about possible culture clashes if you couchsurf here on this wiki and link to wikitravel and place a link on wikitravel to the article about india on this wiki (culture differences and how to be a good guest in india and how to be a good host in india) that would help both open projects. What do you think about that? --Bontour 11:59, 19 August 2006 (EST)

I agree. We have to find some Guide Guidelines in the process of making this bigger. The information placed in this article is useful, but probably more at its place in Wikipedia and/or Wikitravel. Guaka 13:04, 19 August 2006 (EST)

Hi Bontour

The links to wikibooks http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Hindi_lessons has a lesson and created there. Now if someone is not experienced enough to contribute to the lesson and just wants to direct people to great links on the web.So where would be the best place for to place the link to a ready recokner? wikibooks, wikitravel, wikipedia ?

And what would CS focused things here on the CS wiki? The hindi lesson and hindi songs are related to a query of a danish couchsurfer in india wanting to know about hindi lessons .A way to language developement is through songs . http://www.couchsurfing.com/group_read.html?gid=915&post=50891.So the hindi lesson links i feel would not fit in the wikibook page (as it is not enhancing the lesson plans there) nor in wiki travel(as it is not travel related or place related infomation).

Most couchsurfers in the india groups. who look for infomation in groups are look for detailed infomation which they could not located or did not know existed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Indian_television_stations gives a write up on all the stations on different pages and then a link to the origianal website at the end of the contribute article. A page specifially for the groups where they just need a link to the original home page of the station.A ready reference.

I would like to create a page/page directed specifically to the group queries where the poster need to be directed to the website with the best infomation in regards to his query. What is the best way to do this?I was planning to create multiple link pages(for eg hindi lesson links on the net,ngo links) to the main couchsurfing india page. What do you think?--Navinkurian2002 01:23, 20 August 2006 (EST)

Connecting the Wikis.... ????

Hi there. I don't know if it is possible to do that but all Wikis would gain from that....

If someone enters a word in the search on our wiki what if there are two columns the one with our search results on the left and one with the top ten results of Wikitravel, Wikipedia and Wikibooks

That would be awesome and if Wikitravel would also do that with their search that would open a complete new world to people...

Beside all that we should encurage people from CS to place their information on wikitravel or wikipedia and if there is no space for the information or if it is CS related we should put the information on our wiki

Just my two cents.

So if people have no space on another wiki they should place the information here on this wiki.
