Talk:Admins
The CouchSurfing Wiki, an informal workspace which anyone can edit.
Facts:
- There are only 3 admins not living in North America (Leo from Brazil, Aldo from the Netherlands and Promitheus from Greece).
- There are expert speakers of English, Spanish, French, Dutch (only 1), Portuguese (only 1).
So if there are to be new administrators, they should be able to speak languages not spoken by current admins yet (German, 20% of CSers speak German [1], Italian, 10%, Russian 3.7%, Chinese 2.6%, Swedish 2.6%, Japanese, Arabic, ...). They should also be from other parts in the world than North America. Guaka 16:30, 27 September 2006 (EST)
- I agree that there should (and surely will) be more diversity among the Admins. It's a slooooooooow process because we're still a relatively small organization and this kind of thing takes so MUCH more time to organize than I ever would have imagined. But yeah, it's getting more and more diverse each time. One of the last additions was Prom from Greece, which has already been a huge benefit to the organization. We see and understand the need and we're definitely on it. Thanks for the stats! RedCouchGuy, 27 September 2006
