A visitors report on Poland/Lodz. Worth reading.

Warsaw by night
Warsaw Business district

WARSAW (Warszawa) is the capital of Poland. She is also the biggest Polish city as well. There are nearly 3000 couchsurfers, many very active. There are also many active members of other hospitality clubs as Hospitality Club .

Lodz (Łódź) is another big city in Poland, located some 130 km from Warsaw. It is somewhat famous for early-20th century architecture and even more for its lively nightlife. The main Piotrkowska street is lined up with pubs and clubs. Lodz Kaliska is probably the most renowned of them. It was run by an artistic group of the same name and this sort of bohemian spirit is clearly seen until now. Lizard King is another good place to hit a couple of beers; and you can be sure to hear some great live music at night. [mike_lew]

Cracow (Kraków) is the historical capital of Poland. Great city with unforgettable atmosphere and little arti-style caffees around Main Square and in Kazimierz - old Jewish district. Here you can see king's castle called Wawel situated near Wisla river, many beautiful churches, great architecture, the biggest Main Square. There are thousands of legends connected with Cracow. In the evening you can enjoy your time in one of the Cracow's pubs or dancing club. What is more you can see Nowa Huta - now a days it's a district of Cracow, but originally it was ment to be separate city - whole built in socrealistic style, grey, monumental, titanic and very interesting.

Bialystok (Białystok) is the largest city in northeastern Poland. It is located near the border with Belarus, and is the historical capital of the Podlachia region. Białystok had a population of 294,830 in 2006. The capital of the Podlaskie Voivodeship since 1999, it was previously in Białystok Voivodeship (1975-1998) (1921-1998).

Bdygoszcz is a city in northern Poland, on the Brda and Vistula rivers, with a population of 369,151 (2004).She is the 8th biggest city in Poland.
