New York State is located in the North-Eastern US, has one of the largest populations of any state and is home to one of the world's premier cities, New York City. There are also large CS communities in Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester and Syracuse.

While new York City sees an almost non-stop sucession of events, the rest of the state is not as busy. Depsite this there are large CS communities in many of the state's cities and events do occur. It is best to watch closely the groups of the areas you may be in or post and make your own event.

New York State is one of the best connected transportation regions in the world. Buses and trains between many of the big cities and even larger towns should pose no problem. For journeys to more remote areas, like Lake Placid, your own transportation may be necessary.
New York City with its high demand for couches should not be considered to be indicative of the state as a whole. The remainder of the state offers a much more relaxed experience, where demand rarely exceeds capacity.

New York State is well known for New York City and Niagara Falls, but there are many other points of interest, from the Adirondacks, to the working class cities of the Great Lakes.
