Location
Heredia is located in the Central Valley, about 10 km northeast of San José, and 9 km west of Juan Santamaría International Airport (the airport is located in Alajuela).
Meetings
In Heredia Couchsurfers are very social, usually getting together informally every week and planing Monthly Lunches (normally the first or second Sunday of the month). For general information and events, check out the Costa Rica Group and Heredia Group. For good eating, look no further than Los Comelones.
Moving around
By bus:
Buses are a good way to move around in the country, they are cheap, and you can go almost everywhere. Even though there are some problems with schedules, they stop working around 10 or 11 p.m, and sometimes they don`t leave on time.
