Genk is a city in the north east of Belgium, in the province of Limburg. Genk had nearly 64.000 inhabitants and is very multicultural. The official language is dutch. It is very close to the city of Hasselt.

Tips

Genk is easy to reach. There are many trains from and to Brussels. There's also a direct bus from Maastricht in the Netherlands.

The biggest attraction is the open air museum Bokrijk. This folk park shows original old houses from the different regions in Flanders. Bokrijk had it's own railway station with the same name.
