The UProduce crew is currently trying to find Business Sponsors for the show. We are willing to accept donations from Individual Supporters and fans of the show, however, it is our concern that no money that would normally go to the main Couch Surfing web-site be diverted over to this project. So whatever you do don't take the money that you would normally give to Couch Surfing to donate to the show! That is the last thing that we want. If you do decide to go above and beyond the call of duty and donate to the show, that option is now available to you through the main CouchSurfing website. Simply go to participate, then donate, and then when you donate select the T.V. project option.

We are currently estimating the monthly expenses of creating this show to be $10,000 a month and are aiming for monthly donations, rather than one time donations. The money will be used to cover the cost of food, a small living stipend, and transportation for the show’s team out in the field. A small salary for our stationary liaison position will be required since it is a full time position, and money will also be required to cover the cost of all of the filming equipment we need to film the show. This may sound like a lot of money to an individual, but in terms of producing a TV show, it is actually pretty shoe-string. Our goal is to find 200 businesses that are willing to sponsor the show for $50 a month. In exchange we will be willing to give them a link on the show’s Business Sponsors page and/or field test their gear during the shooting of the show. During field testing, If we are genuinely impressed with their products we'll let the viewers know, and if we aren't impressed we wont. This show has three very important missions, and it is very important to us that the businesses we pick to partner with share in our vision. We are targeting businesses that we believe have the same level of character as Couch Surfing works hard to maintain, and who are truly interested in the show’s cause. Our goal is to make these partnerships with environmentally, and culturally conscious businesses that are green, are working hard towards becoming fully sustainable, have strong ties to their local community, treat their employees and customers with respect, and produce a high quality product or service. We would prefer that these businesses be in the travel, health, and/or adventure industries and come from as many parts of the world as possible. In order for a business to be listed on the business sponsor page it must be willing to pledge a minimum of $50 a month for the first year, towards the show.

Trying to find even one business that meets these stringent standards is a pretty tall order, and trying to find 200 of them in such a short amount of time is impossible for our small crew. That is why we are officially asking for the help of the community on this.
