Canada
Visa
Tourist visa available at border for most western countries. Working holiday also available to reciprocal western countries.
Borders
Only has one border with the United States - every border open, border guards differ from every post. Must enter through official point of entry.
Entry/Exit
Be careful entering Canada from land. As with all western countries if you are hitch hiking/auto-stopping make sure you have proof of onward travel, make sure all prescriptions are in your own name, etc etc. Border guards can be annoying or can be super nice.

Six month tourist visa by land or air. No photo or finger printer required as you cross. Work visas are not as easy to get as you think for Canucks to the US...
