Who Is Magicpatmarker?

MagicPatMarker is better known to his parents as Matthew Parker and is a CouchSurfer who was born in London, England, in 1980. His parents were publicans at the time of his birth and thus was brought up in the bar trade.

At the age of 11 he went to a boarding school called Adams' Grammar School in Newport, Shropshire. He was home sick for a total of about 5 minutes when he opened his birthday presents from his parents a few days after having arrived at the school. After having been suspended from school on a couple of occassions due to his smoking habits, his headmaster decided to not allow him to continue at this school for his sixth form education.

Matthew moved school to Lord Wandsworth College in 1997 on the brink of his 17th birthday. He never gained much popularity with the other students there, although managed to impress a faily elite teaching set and was given the priviledge of being a "prefect" and "deputy head boy" in his boarding house Hazelvere after only one year. He got pretty much kicked out of this school too.

After completing his A-Levels, Matthew chose to continue his education at [The University of Reading] in Berkshire, studying [Theatre Arts, Education and Deaf Studies] (TAEDS)

Matthew Spent many years working in Nightclubs, Bars and Pubs and eventually was allowed to run his own in Taunton. A few problems with staff and a regular 100hour weeks prompted matt to leave this job and choose to go travelling.

Matt is currently living in Rio de Janeiro with his girlfriend Suzi, who he met after CouchSurfing at her residence in January 2008. He has recently run out of money and is trying to find work as an Independant English Teacher.
