Notes
Intro
Started at 4pm EDT.
Meeting includes Casey, Anu(just listening in), Walter, Chris
Chris: Realizing that no one else is attending the meeting, that maybe we would benefit from changing the time.
Anu: Different time because I am working each day now.
Rotterdam collective
Walter: Can fit about 8 people. Small Collective, 5+-2 people with interview process. Mission would be improving the quality of the tech team and refocusing it. Actively put in place a structure, and then get people involved.
I would be a passive participant because working 40 hours/week, joining on evenings and weekends.
Collective would address major bugs, attempting to reduce to 100.
would be 8 weeks long, June and July
Adding Midsch to QA group along with help from Anu so they can advise us on biggest problem of community.
NDA Status
Casey: I called, left messages and emailed Matt Whatley with all concerns, questions. He hasn't replied. He's working pro-bono so it takes a little longer than normal.
Chris: I am trying to get new techs to sign the NDA, KNOWING that the new NDA in a month or two will NULLIFY the old NDA and will be much better for the techs.
Does this make sense?
Casey: Yes
Walter: Yes
Casey: I really haven't seen any "novel" code in the history of couchsurfing, it's all pretty basic code. (Implying that there is no need to want to take your code with you to another group)
Meeting times
Chris: Would it be better to have the meetings later or earlier?
Casey: Will be back in North America soon, so no problem, could do early as 6am.
Walter: 4pm EDT, 10pm West Europe time is working for him.
Anu: (Relayed by Chris from earlier in the chat) noted she'd like it another time.
Walter: suggests having it on weekends in hopes of getting more participation.
Next Meeting
Chris: For now next meeting will be the same as this week. 4pm EDT, 10pm West Europe time, 8am NZ time.
