Diversity
Running discussions about the diversity of the CouchSurfing community. Collecting ideas about how to increase it. based on those ideas, coordinating events and marketing initiatives that can bring diverse populations together with our population and executing them. Requires familiarity leading community brainstorms (offline and online), with marketing, and with event coordination. You might need to gather a team to cover these requirements if you don't know all this yourself. You will also need to work with the "public image" people in the global organization to vet marketing, etc.
Volunteer growth
Assessing the skill level, capability, and motivation of people who want to help us and, if they pass muster, putting them in touch with all the people in the global organization that can hook them up in their chosen area. Maintaining contact with said volunteers to make sure they have everything they need to do their work. requires intimate knowledge of who makes up the global organization so that you can refer people in the right direction and ensure their inclusion. said knowledge will need to be imparted to you if you don't already have it.
Organizational Policies
- Create Policies to be implemented throughout the organization
- Work with Leaders of all departments, and be receptive to feedback from members and other sources, to create policies that support the mission and goals of the organization
- Ultimately responsible of keeping track of all areas in the organization that need to be regulated and formulating policies to regulate those area

Marketing

Community Communications
- Disseminate all material current events and organizational changes to the Couchsurfing community
- Maintain regular contact with all sections leaders in the organization and communicate important messages to Founders
- Ultimately responsible for keeping the entire couchsurfing community up to date and informed
User inclusion
We will be working with the ambassadors to find unincluded users - people who log into the system a lot but do not end up meeting people in real life - and figuring out how to include them. Strong people skills. Check the Quality of Service statistics.
Technical
We need PHP programmers to fix bugs on the site and Ruby programmers to help with the Phone Network. Check Tech team.
