This is the forum to discuss the answers to the policy questions posted here. Please include the question category and the question #.


Please add Category:Leadership to the wiki page. I'm adding it to the Talk page now. You might also want to add the {{policy}} tag, or find another way to indicate that pages are not supposed to be edited - otherwise you risk scaring away the volunteers who have done a lot of work on maintaining this wiki.

  • Pages are clearly marked as with the "protected" tab for sysops. Anyone entrusted with sysop access should really be able to tell if the page is protected or not. If you can't you probably shouldn't be a sysop.

If this page is not editable, you need to make it clearly visible, otherwise this sends contradictory messages to wiki users ("Why can't I edit this? It should be a bug. Let me spend some more time trying to do it and then send an email about this"). On Wikipedia, blocked pages are clearly identified as blocked. You need to use templates for this.   • A less visually intrusive template would be nice, otherwise it just gets in the way for the vast majority that just wants to read the doc.
