Welcome to the Sweden CS Events wiki page
The intention of this wiki is to provide structure and continuity for the work of the Sweden CS Events group.
One of the most exciting parts of CouchSurfing is the extraordinary events that members organize to connect people from all over the world and expand our CouchSurfing community. The purpose of this wiki is to be a space where CouchSurfing Event Organizers in Sweden come to get ideas for their events.

Sweden CS Events Calendar
Here is a list of dates that are nice to make into CS events in order to make community experiences that promote intercultural awareness:
- February 24th - The Shrove Tuesday. Organize a "semla"/cream bun event!
- March 20th - Nouruz. Organize a Nouruz event!
- March 25th - The Waffle Day. Organize a waffle event!
- June 19th - Midsummer Eve. Organize a party event!
- October 4th - The cinnamon bun day (Kanelbullens dag). Organize a cinnamon bun day event!
- November/December - Glögg/mulled wine. Organize a glögg party!
- December - Bake ginger bread.
- December 13th - Lucia. Organize a Lucia party!
Regular Events
It might be a good idea to have regular gatherings in your local CS community. It gives continuity to the community. Usually there are two things that are necessary before regular meetings are to work. First, there needs to be an ambassador or other active leader in the local CS community. Second, there needs to be a core of active CS'ers in that community. Once those are in place, the regular meetings are much easier and should be custom fitted to the personality of the community.

After work (The Stockholm CS community has had regular after work Friday gatherings since July 2007)
After work and pubnight (The Uppsala CS community has had biweekly after works and pubnights since August 2008)
Dinner (The Stockholm CS community has had regular monthly dinners since August 2008)
Sunday fika meeting (The Uppsala CS community has had biweekly Sunday fika meetings since August 2008)
