General Information
From the 3rd-5th of August 2007 the Summer meeting of the Free and Open Couchcity Hamburg will take place in Hamburg, Germany. Everyone is invited to join us! (By the way: This is NOT a meeting of OpenCS, what someone was misinterpreting from the name.)
We'll organize different activities from friday evening to Sunday afternoon, but you are also welcome to take part in single actions (please see the detailled programm if a registration is necessary). All activities are for local Hosts AND Couchsurfers from all over the world. And of course every on else.
Program
Friday, August 3rd
Evening: St. Pauli - Warm up!
Professional guided tour through the famous Hamburg redlight-district and much more
Meetingpoint: 19:00, Busstop at U-Bahn St. Pauli
Afterwards: Local beers and sodas in local pubs and whatever comes along ... after the guided tour we meet up between 21:00-22:00 at our regulary meet-up Cafe Absurd (Clemens-Schultz-Straße 84, 20359 Hamburg). Let's see what happens.
Saturday, August 4th
Afternoon: Hamburg CS paper chase
Meetingpoint: 13:00 Terrace at the Youthhostel, Am Stintfang
(Public Transport: S-Bahn/U-Bahn Landungsbrücken; from there go the stairs uphill following the signs to "Jugendherberge/DJH/Youthhostel" - just 171 steps up the hill)
What's this about? We send you through the City with some funny stuff to do and to make sure you'll see a lot of the interesting places of the city.
Useful things: valid ticket for HVV (dayticket or group dayticket), pens & paper, photo camera, rain protection & sun milk, curiousness & good mood.
Evening: Party at Knallhart
Adress: Von-Melle-Park 9; Directions: S-Bahn Dammtor, Busses 4 or 5)
- 18:00 Vegetarian Dinner
We'll cook something vegetarian and will politely ask for a donation to cover the costs. Please tell us, if you plan to come (and/or are a Vegan)! - Sunset till down - Party
DJs and Entertainment, Drinks for reasonable prices (only to cover the costs, no earnings planned ;), Results form the paper chase and more.
Sunday, August 5th
Early 6:00 (!) Hamburg-Fishmarket
For all the hard partying couchsurfers and fishlovers ... Meeting point: under the plastic palm trees in the park in front of the St.Pauli Church (at the pedestrian overpass above Hafenstrasse/Fischmarkt on the street Pinnasberg)
10:00 Brunch at Knallhart
Directions see Party at Saturday. Hot and cold drinks will be there, please bring some (vegetarian) food!
Accomodation
Do a regular Couchsearch for Hamburg, if there comes a time where couches will be hard to find, we'll organize a list of still free couches or cheap alternatives.

Volunteering
At several occasions we may ask for assistance (Cleaning up at Knallhart, cooking coffee ...), but if you want to help out with something special or want to volunteer in planning please contact the moderators of the planning group to join the group.
What to bring
- For Accomodation (Sleeping bags, blankets, Tents, ...) please ask your host
- Food for the brunch at Sunday
- Think about different types of clothing: casual stuff for the warmer daytime, some warmer clothing for the evening.

- 15:30 soccer: St. Pauli vs. Leverkusen (probably no Tickets available)
Sunday, August 5th
- 14:30 soccer SC Victoria (local champion, 5th league?) vs. Nürnberg (1st league) - Adress: Victoria Stadion "Hoheluft", Lokstedter Steindamm 87, 22529 Hamburg (Tickets 15,00-30,00 € - probably reduced for students). Added to the schedule by public demand.
