Quality of Service Statistics

We already have a bunch!: qos.html

We want to develop metrics that give our developers and community builders feedback about how well they're doing, where there's room for improvement, and which strategies to focus on.

Some potential QoS stats follow:

Per-User

Joe is going to be (APRIL 07) calculating the following per-user data, but not sharing it. It is for behind-the-scenes analysis of the CS community. If you want access to some kind of randomized version, it will eventually be available.

per user

  • estimated_days_of_host_surf_travel_interaction
  • num_friends_lived_near
  • num_nonlocal_friends
  • unique_login_days (login table / mod on seconds) (user_id, day)
  • num_chat_friends
  • avg_trust_level
  • avg_trusted_level
  • sum_trust_level
  • sum_trusted_level
  • sum_untrusted_level (large number of friends who don't trust them)
  • users_hosted_count
  • hosts_surfed_count
  • users_traveled_with_count
  • avg time to first IRL CS friend
  • num IRL friends due to CS
  • num IRL friends NOT due to CS
  • avg length of a couchsurf

We want to identify:

  • people that are highly trusted by people who don't know them much/well
  • people that are highly physical / highly virtual
  • percentage of 20,000 logging in who have already met one friend IRL due to CS
  • num hosts with strong local networks

Per user-place

  • num_local_friends

Per user-week

  • num cs reqs recvd that week
  • num logins that week
