CouchSurfing in Salzburg
Salzburg has a continually growing and increasingly active CS community. Currently, there are about 638 CouchSurfers living in Salzburg, more than 425 of them in the capital which confusingly is also called Salzburg.
Finding a Couch and CouchSurfers in Salzburg: Finding a host in Salzburg depends a lot on the area you are travelling to.
If you do not find a host that way it might be helpful to post a message in the Salzburg group. There may be some people in the group who know the area and can help you find a hostel, some other form of accommodation or provide helpful information.
Please note that this does not mean you can stop for searching for couches via the CouchSearch tool and it also does not mean you can forgo writing personal CouchRequests. But in case you can not find CouchSurfers in remote areas a posting in the group might help to get more information.
Meeting CouchSurfers in Salzburg: There are occasional CS meetings and at least weekly spontaneous meet ups that happen in the City of Salzburg. All CouchSurfers living or travelling in the region are welcome to join.
CS Guides: Usually the CouchSurfers in Salzburg indicate in their Couch description if they can show you around. So, first of all, it is advisable to read the profiles and to ask your host if she/he can/has time to show you around. Your host might also know some other local CouchSurfers who could show you around instead.
