Revival (pronounced: /rɪˈvaɪvəl/) is one of the biggest weekly Couchsurfing meetings in the world. The meeting is an integral part of the NYC CS community and derives its name from the bar in New York City where it is held. Each week, more than one hundred good people—locals and travelers alike—make their way to this meeting. Due to its overwhelming success, other cities around the world have started their own "Revival" meetings.

Drink Specials

Due to CS NYC's ongoing relationship with the bar, they extend the following drink specials:

  • $4 Draft Beers and Well all night
  • $3 Bud light and PBR
  • $5 Wine
  • Free finger food (not really a drink special but who cares?)

History

On April 12, 2007 Bastien Genefort organized a small CS meeting at Crocodile lounge. This immediately turned into a weekly meeting which grew over time. On June 21 the first official Revival meeting took place. Ironically, it did not actually take place at Revival, but rather at Seth's apartment to celebrate his birthday. Finally on June 28 about a dozen Couchsurfers celebrated the first Revival meeting at Revival.
