Rafting is a perfect mode of travel to combine with CouchSurfing. Some things might be useful to keep in mind though:

• It saves on transport costs - kayaks can be expensive to rent.
• There may be sharks in the water! You can check on this by dipping two fingers in the water and then tasting them. If they're salty, there are sharks!
• Take enough water. If the shark test came up positive, you can't drink the stuff you're floating on.
