What's the difference between recurring and one-time donations?

Monthly recurring donations are automatically deducted from the donor's account each month. Both one-time and recurring monthly donations help us meet our yearly budget. However, recurring donations help the most because they move us toward long-term sustainabilty. Both the recurring and one-time donations on this page are updated in real-time.

What's the difference between recurring and one-time expenses?

Our yearly budget includes both our known monthly recurring expenses, such as server administration and payroll, and our estimated one-time expences, such as travel costs and Collectives. Both types of expenses are funded by member donations. The total budget for the year is created based on how much donation income we expect to earn for the year.
