Concept

This is a proposal to outline standards for collecting money at CS meetings. Eg. collecting donations and verification fees.

Objectives

To develop policies for handling money collected at CS meetings. To ensure we have:

  1. consistent rules
  2. detailed accounting methods and full transparency
  3. support and confidence by our members
  4. security

Key ideas

  1. Only Country or Global Ambassadors are authorised to collect donations and verification fees
  2. The Ambassador must have a credit card or another reliable means for depositing money.
  3. Collected money must be counted at the meeting point and double-checked by another CS member, preferably an Ambassadors. Both should sign a copy with the date and amount collected.
  4. Money collected should be deposited (eg. via credit card) within 24 hours.
  5. Amount collected should be entered in the Meeting event page and in the Donations group.
  6. A spreadsheet should be mantained by all Ambassadors. Every quarter, their spreadsheets should be emailed to a specified Admin for auditing purposes.
