- Dumplings in Chinatown Jerome organised dinner at Shanghai Village on Little Burke St in Melbourne's Chinatown.
- Johnston St Hispanic Fiesta is an annual street party that happened on the weekend of 17-18 November in 2007. Check the Fiesta Website or see this CS Melbourne group post
- Japanese in Fitzroy Jess organised dinner at PekoPeko on 199 Smith St.
- Yum Cha in the CBD At Dragon Boat on the Yarra.
- Indian food in Footscray Shaun organized the second MCSFDAS meeting. Once again: Melbourne is so great for good food. :)
- Singaporean food in the CBD PEEL organized the third MCSFDAS meeting that ballooned from a planned 15 people to double the amount!
- Ethiopian food in Footscray Keriann started the 'Melbourne Couch Surfers' Fine Dining Appreciation Society' (MCSFDAS) with that yummy meeting.

The official first Melbourne CS meeting took place in one of the lovely 'lentil as anything' restaurants, in the party centre of town St Kilda, unfortunately the place was way too small for our group and was about 40 degrees, but it got the dice rolling... - Moonlightcinema

Wonderful evening in the Royal Botanic Gardens seeing 'Babel'. Meanwhile huge bats were flying around in the sunset-inflamed sky in front of Melbourne's skyline.
- BBQ in Heidelberg: Because of short notice not many CSers attended. Anyway the food was very yummy and we had some nice chatting.

The unofficial start of the Melbourne CS community, an hour out of town has been a cozy get together in a typical Aussie bbq fashion with great conversation.
