Paris Collective Head Programmer and developers

From the CouchSurfing Wiki, an informal workspace which anyone can edit.

  • Program site and code
  • Head programmers could train one/a few developers to the code so they would grow new skills and hopefully be able to run little projects on their own after the CSC.
  • This point is only worth mentioning if people from Technical Projects come.

Check the Tech Team and the Technical Projects Group for more informations.

Those persons don’t necessarily need to be on site as long as we are able to provide them with the proper material / documents to develop from. This would hugely depend on what objectives are set for this Collective and whether it is more aimed at general brainstorming and little projects OR at building a technical/programming local team. In that case training face to face at least one person to CS code would be key.

Computer room and systems maintenance

  • In charge of maintaining the computer network and the systems (A/C, etc.)
  • Makes sure programmers are ‘happy’ and well-fed.
  • Make sure the programmers attend events, and maintain computer network/system.

Comments

  • By the time of the Paris Collective it will probably be much easier for programmers to get started working on the code. I'm sure there will be a bunch of (skilled) programmers around. GuakaTalkCS 18:38, 21 November 2006 (EST)
  • Unlike Montreal, we don't just have one computer room. People are working wherever they please. GuakaTalkCS 20:25, 21 November 2006 (EST)
