Paris Collective Communications
From the CouchSurfing Wiki, an informal workspace which anyone can edit.
- Contacts Media & CS world to gather support
- Sets up a team of at least 3 members (photo organizer, filmaker and blogger, read hereafter) to issue daily blogs to send out to the community and to release some Video Blogs.
Film maker
- Videotapes all the Collective
- Works with the communications director
- To release the video blog on a regular basis(at least weekly);
- To document all of the Collective (eventually issue some kind of a documentary at the end?); and
- To create a hi-quality DVD compilation that can be sold at the end of the collective.
Photo organizer
- Gathers all the photos taken daily by members;
- Sorts them out and keeps the best ones;
- Chooses 4 or 5 of the best ones and forwards those to the blogger to add to the daily entry on the blog; and
- Compiles all the best photos on a CD/DVD that will be distributed at the end.
Blogger
- Keeps the blog updated on a regular – daily! – basis, uploads pictures and informs the outside CS community of the news and updates on the Collective
- This work could simply be participatory with all attendants contributing as it seems it will be at the NZ CSC… let us wait and see how well it works – or not – and eventually decide that some volunteers need to be designated to handle it.
Ideally all participants write at least one blog entry.
Note In the past there has been a demand for a picture disc, but money must be spent to make this happen. Most participants are very happy to pay for this memory. The proceeds can go towards the next collective.
