Osian is a important pilgrimage of Jains and Hindus.It is small town about 65 KM North-East of Jodhpur.
Sachiyay Mata temple is visible from far situated on small hillock and exhibiting grandeur of 8 century. Sachi Mata, also known as Indrani, was the consort of the rain-god Indra. According to the legend, Indra married her for her voluptuousness.
Nearby within radius of 3 Km is a complex of temples.The Sun temple,Harihar temple,Kali temple date back from 8 century to 12 century.
The temple of Mahavir swami of Jains built in 783 A.D. is very fine example of architect.Around sanctum sanctorum are temples of Bhairav,Mahalaxmi,Sarswati and other Hindu God and Goddesses.
Camel safari tour are also conducted from here.At some dhani and villages facilities of Village Cot Surfing is also available.
A stepped well or Bawri near town is deep water reservoir and shows importance of water in deserts of Rajasthan.
