  • Richmond, Bridge road (Tram 75 & 48)and Swan street (Tram 70) have some great shopping at factory outlets, Victoria street/parade (Tram 109) is home to a large Vietnamese community where you can eat lots of great food (cheap) and get all your Asian groceries, and down near the river is Victoria Gardens, a characterless shopping mall that has a large cinema chain.
  • South Yarra has the famous fashion strip Chapel Street and Toorak Road. It's an expensive upper class suburb. It also has a large Gay population on Commercial Road
