I had difficulties in getting suburb names with matatu & bus numbers from potential hosts. Central Nairobi suburbs include Westlands, Parklands, Ya Ya, Lavington, Karen which have great matatu and bus services from 20ksh-50ksh.

Fresh juices including avocado are superb. african and indian food is wholesome and good. real arabica coffee is served at java coffee house and mombasa coffee house. Dormans Blue Mountain from Nakumatt & Uchumi supermarkets makes a great gift.
