Mick Jagger (rock dinosaur) once referred to Invercargill as the arsehole of New Zealand (...or was it the world?) and most NZers would have shared that sentiment. Invercargill has changed a lot in the past 10 years or so and is now a not too bad place to visit.

Invercargill is located at the bottom of the South Island and its nearby port town of Bluff is where you catch the ferry to Oban on Rakiura (Stewart Island).

As of Nov '06 Invercargill and all of Southland has no CS members.
