You know Australia has BEACH and a lot of it, right? Well, get your head around this: There's one stretch of beach that rolls on continuously for 90 miles. That's more than 150 kilometres.
But there's way more to Gippsland than that! The area is a long, narrow stretch of land between the wild ocean - with some of Australia's most intense beaches - and the southern slopes of Australia's Alps, which are softer and more accessible than those of the northern opposite side.
Gippsland is the home of Wilson's Prom National Park, which is possibly the most beloved area among Melburnians and Victorians. It's the home of the Snowy River National Park, which is probably even more wild and amazing than the Prom. It's also home to charming villages like Buchan, Omeo and Swift's Creek.
