Duisburg is a German city on the Rhine and marks the western end of an agglomeration of cities called the "Ruhrgebiet". Duisburg has a university, a famous zoo, and the world's biggest inland harbour. There is an active CouchSurfing community. It is in the German state Nordrhein-Westfalen. Right in the south of Duisburg, is Düsseldorf, the capital of the federal state and in the east Mülheim/Ruhr and Oberhausen. Other nearby cities are Dinslaken, Moers, Rheinberg, Krefeld, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Oberhausen, Recklinghausen, Bochum, and so on.
The local community meets every 27th of a month in a local pub which is announced in this group. There are also some parties/meeting taking place from time to time. All these activities are announced in the Duisburg CS group group list.
