The New Zealand Collective will be coordinating discussions about CouchSurfing, its philosophy, its functionality, its development, its issues, etc. at various times throughout the Collective.
Ideas for discussions
- Where is CS going in the next couple of years?
- CS in China
- CS in Europe -- Paris, Finland
- CS in India
- How to deal with media attention as CS becomes more well-known
- CS in conflict zones
- CS in the "developing" world
- Aims & objectives for future CS collectives
- Priorities for site improvements
- Coordination with HC - at the very least, some kind of security measure flagging up members with bad comments on one or the other system.
- Define the expression "High Quality User" -> Figuring out concepts of getting these people into CS
- De-activation (or at least an option to hide from a CouchSearch) of profiles which haven't been logged in to for over 6 months
- your suggestions?
Edit your ideas, or send suggestions to collective@couchsurfing.com, with the title "Suggestion for discussion".
- Create a Priority work page/tree in the "Org" part of the site. Fully open and divided in the working groups. Probably with a progress indicator if possible? That way everyone can refer to the document at any time.... maybe with the technical support of something like the current translation group software or directly in a separated wiki part. (Sandman76)
