Collective Participation Requirements

If you're just dropping by to say hello for a couple of days (less than three nights) then the requirements are quite simple. You're expected to help with the house chores, cooking, cleaning, dishes, and all that fun stuff.

If you're staying for longer, then you're expected to contribute something to the CouchSurfing.com project.


Requirements for All Participants

This is expected of all participants, whether staying for a few hours or a few years! :)

  • Help with the house work including things like:
    • Cleaning
    • Cooking
    • Garbage
    • Food shopping
    • Basic garden maintenance
    • and so on, you know what it takes to run a house!
  • Your CouchSurfing.com profile
    • You should have a complete profile, with all sections filled in
    • Ideally you should have some references on your profile
    • It helps a lot if you have already hosted and / or surfed a few times, some real world CouchSurfing.com experience

Core Parcipants

These requirements are expected of anyone who stays at the collective for more than a few days.

  • Daily administration
    • Updating the wiki on a daily basis:
      • A very short summary of what you have done today
      • Keeping your project / team / other pages updated
    • Posting on the collective blog when you feel inspired
  • Weekly meeting attendance
    • Attending the weekly meetings where possible
    • Taking meeting minutes when requested
