YOU are the RUBBISH.
- Fill the blue bags to the max with trash.
- Make sure the bins are clean, or they won't be picked up.
- Make sure the glass & plastic are washed, INCLUDING LIDS.
- sort the recycling as follows:
* glass
* plastic: #1 and #2 types
* paper & light cardboard:
- sort into newspaper / shiny & glossy paper / white stationary / light cardboard
- place in plastic bags or tie with string
* corrugated cardboard: squash and tie into bundles no larger than the recycle bin
- put the trash out every week for Tuesday pickup.
- put the glass recycling out EVERY OTHER week, according to the schedule posted in the kitchen.
- put the other recycling (paper, cardboard, plastic) out on weeks opposite the glass schedule.
