Collective Cook Du Jour

The Cook Du Jour is the lovely person who creates wonders in the kitchen to feed the eager beavers at the collective who have been working all day.

The Cook Du Jour should liaise with the House Coordinator to find out how many people are in the house, how many vegetarians, vegans, and so on.

Ideally, you should know if you're cooking a few days in advance, so you can prepare what ingredients you will require and tell the House Coordinator beforehand. Give them as much warning as possible to be sure you have all the ingredients in time.

Tips and Tricks

These are some tips and tricks suggested by various people (how vague is that!)...

If you have difficulty cooking for any dietary requirements, try asking the person with those requirements, they do eat food that meets their requirements every day! :)

Ask around the house to see what people have cooked recently, particularly if you've just arrived. People will be grateful of any food cooked, but it's nice to have a little variety and not eat the same meal every few days.
