Related to the Brainstorm group and subgroups

You can find here a non exhaustive list of subject already discussed, and their outcome.

You're invited to mention all subject that you have already seen discussed on the group, even if you failed to find the corresponding thread, due to the lack of search tool. Feel free to categorize if you feel it adds to the readability.

To find the posts that you contributed to, go on your profile, scroll down to "groups". There's a link called "view group posts".

Ambassador management

Let the local communities provide input for decision on who will be city ambassador

http://www.couchsurfing.com/group_read.html?gid=429&post=2037306

Outcome: The outcome is that AMT is aware of this, and I, the AMC agree. We are now working on a peer review system whereby City AMBs will need to comment on applicants, as well as country AMBs and Globals, as it applies. (January 09) I expect this to be in place in about 60-90 days.

questions about ambassadors' behaviour

http://www.couchsurfing.com/group_read.html?gid=429&post=1438712#gpid1438712

another thread, around December 2009: http://www.couchsurfing.org/group_read.html?gid=7621&post=4493697

AMC: Ambassadors are subject to the same TOU as anyone else. If there are behavior issues that relate to CS, then members should use the CUQ area, and it will be dealt with using normal MDST channels. Personal Note: Ambassadors have another 'code' to live by and that is one of diplomacy and tact. Just because they are a respected member, they have no freedom to abuse this, on the contrary, they should be examples of the benefits of our community. They should be a part of our mission and the solution. So, even if they are cleared by MDST or another department, they may still need to convince us that they should remain a volunteer on our team. This remains the discretion of the AMT.

Add "show around" or "sightseeing" to Profile/CouchSearch

This searchable availability information in the couch profile would allow to find not only a host or someone who can have a drink with you, but also someone offering to show you around.
